Pay for the editorial layer, not for usage. Apprentice gives you the full instinct of the tool. Studio raises the limits and unlocks live web search. Atelier adds two-pass second-opinion judging and personalised contest briefs for the contests that decide the year.
An average competition entry costs €30–€80. Studio at €11/mo pays for itself the moment it saves you from one wrong-door submission.

№ 02 · Studio
Studio
£95/ year
Save £19 · same as £9/mo, billed yearly
For the photographer entering 3–10 contests a year.
30 photos per session, unlimited sessions
(i)
Bring your full portfolio. No monthly cap, no quota anxiety before deadline week.
Live web search — beyond the AI's training cutoff
(i)
Studio searches the live web in addition to the AI's prior knowledge — so competitions announced this month, on niche sites, or on organizer pages get included. The free tier only sees competitions in the AI's training data.
Plain-language competition summaries — jury, fee/prize, rights
(i)
For each competition: what the jury actually rewards, what past winners looked like, the fee-to-prize ratio in plain numbers, and the rights agreement explained without legalese.
Saved searches with deadline alerts (5 saved)
(i)
Save up to five searches and get a single email when a new matching competition is published or when a watched deadline is one week out. No drip campaigns.
What's also included
Portfolio storyline brainstorm — narrative sequencing of your tray
Per-competition brainstorm calibrated to one jury
Priority on the verdict queue near deadline surges
Your photos are scored twice — by two independent passes — and any meaningful disagreement is surfaced to you. Useful for the close calls where €80 entry fees are on the line. The 10-run cap covers the heaviest competition cycle.
Personalised competition briefs (10 / month)
(i)
We read your photos and your past judging history, then write a one-page brief per competition: which categories your work fits, jury-vs-your-work tensions, an enter/skip recommendation, and three competitions you'd land better in.
Past-winner pattern matching
(i)
For the competitions we've curated deeply, scoring is anchored against the actual past winners' aesthetic — so a "submit" verdict means submit at the level that's actually won there before.
EU pricing incl. VAT · Renews monthly until cancelled · 14-day right of withdrawal applies · AI Act Art. 50 disclosure on every output.
№ 04 · One-shot reads
If a subscription isn't your shape.
For the photographer who pays once, the night before a deadline. No card on file, no monthly anything — one round, ten minutes of the critic's time.
If you can't afford Studio and you genuinely need it for a contest entry, email hello@winphoto.io with a few sentences about your situation. We'd rather give a month away to a photographer with a real shot than keep the floor at €11 for everyone.
Withdrawal & cancellation rights
Refunds and your 14-day right of withdrawal
When you purchase a WinPhoto paid plan, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, as amended). To exercise it, email refunds@winphoto.io within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full amount within 14 days using the original payment method.
If you choose to start using the paid features immediately, you will be asked to expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once we begin supplying the service (Art. 16(m) Consumer Rights Directive). Ticking that consent is your choice; if you do not tick it, your access begins after the 14-day period.
Cancelling your plan
You can cancel any time from your account portal in two clicks — no email required, no phone call, no retention call. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep full access until that date. We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of a period you have already begun.
How your data is processed
WinPhoto processes the photos you submit transiently for AI scoring on our private EU AI infrastructure (Ireland), under an Article 28 GDPR data-processing agreement with Zero Data Retention contractually negotiated. Payment processing is provided by Polar Software, Inc., acting as our merchant of record. Our customer-facing Data Processing Addendum is at /legal/dpa and our full Privacy Notice at /privacy-policy.
WinPhoto uses third-party vision AI to classify your photos. By continuing, you acknowledge:
Your photo is sent to our inference provider under a no-training, zero-retention contract, then released from memory.
We do not train AI on your photos, store them after this browser session, submit on your behalf, or rank your photos against other users' work.
Industry-mandatory content-safety classifiers run server-side upstream of our analysis. If a false positive flags your image, the provider may retain it for review.
The verdict is advisory only. No decision is taken about you on the basis of automated processing (Art. 22 GDPR) — the choice to submit or not is always yours. For top-tier competitions, the rules require you to personally author every curatorial choice.
